If the aliens are this sensitive to sound and cannot swim, why don’t the military just set up a boom box playing baby shark doo doo doo or My Heart Will Go On on repeat and watch the aliens throw themselves into the ocean?

How does poor Frodo manage to stay so quiet and calm? Or is he just so terrified he can't make a sound?

I am a new yorker, this is just a documentary, not a horror movie

This is such a terrifying scene. Being chased through New York by ravenous monsters unused to normal life as opposed to their high life attacking you for the slightest discomfort... oh, this is in Wall Street? Never mind, that's just a normal day there.

I don’t understand… couldn’t they have walked 30 feet down the street, sat down, and waited quietly until the monsters left? As long as they aren’t near the sound source anymore they’re invisible…

ah yes, let's go into the subway tunnel known for creating echoes, while we're at it let's just jog down these marble stairs, surely that wouldn't be significantly louder than either sliding down the ramp or simply staying above ground where again, there wont be constant echoes of every decibel.

This premise really did not work if you think about it at all. From the magically 50 cal proof monsters, to the fact that no one uses their weakness to water as a large scale response, to the fact that these highly noise sensitive creatures roar all the time, to the fact that people run away instead of quietly barefoot stepping.

So as someone who lives in New York, this is not Wall Street. This is Midtown Manhattan near (and inside) Lexington Ave 59th street Subway station.

That cracking noise creeps me out
Cuz that's when they are close by

I wonder how well a flash bang grenade would work in this scenario.

One thing I never get about apocalypse movies is why there aren’t corpses everywhere

Sure they can hear a book dropped from hundred meters away and not the peoples heartbeat

1:18 he picked up a chunk of concrete. What's he gonna use it for?

1:23 oh... okay that can work as a distraction

If their hearing is that sensitive that any soubd attracts them there woukd be no way to hide from them. Breathing is actually fairly loud when no other sound is really going on.

Yes flee an open space that allows sounds to dissipate and go into an echo chamber.

So, they can't hear someone breathing right next to them, but somebody running can be heard through glass and concrete through glass breaking in a different section. Maybe MAYBE if they were wearing clogs and screaming as they ran, but they were only running.
I love B-horror movies, but when they're meant to be serious and they aren't thought-out at all, it bugs me to no end.
