Flew all the way to Philadelphia and missed out on better cheesesteaks. There are other places in Philly for steaks, I'm not sure America realizes that.

I'm from Boston and cheese steaks are very popular, we have amazing subs here, I'd love to try all Philly's subs, my Dad was born in Philly so it's fear to my heart, who's the best, everyone's got their own idea, but I'm sure I'd love all of them, my #1 food is definitely cheese steak subs.

Should have done Pat's, Geno's and Jim's. The Trifecta of Cheese Steak Sandwich's. The only winner I see here is the person eating it.

Ask anyone who lives in Philadelphia their top 10 best cheesesteaks, and these two would be lucky to make the top 100. As stated in the video, this is a top tourist attraction. The only time these are good is if you are stumbling out of a South Philly bar at closing time and need something on your stomach. Any true cheesesteak will be made to order....not slopping ingredients together from a pile of precooked ingredients.

I'm from Boston and travel to Philly a lot. I thought the meat in Gino's steaks were gristly. I'm getting to know the city pretty well and the best sandwich I've found (so far) is Joe's in Fishtown.

I have never had a sandwich from "Pat's" or "Geno's" but, they are on my bucket list. As far as the ongoing controversy about who has the best sandwich, I think that, either, both places are owned by one single person or organization or the separate owners are in collusion to promote this contrived continuing controversy. You can't be part of the madness without patronizing both places which increases sales at both joints. Creative marketing at its' best.

These two places aren't that good, also funny having Tony Luke there in this vid. They're just making money off of each other, I wouldn't be surprised if one person owns both.

I have watched some non popular food shows, not that they don't do a good job on their info/video but they don't usually go to the famous or tourist traps that people mention. So for the people in the philly area i saw 3 places that looked good, 1 was steve's cheesesteaks, the other was cosmi's, i think is how it is spelled, and john' roast pork and philly cheesesteaks, may i ask your opinion of those 3, i will possibly be in philly soon, thanks

Can you please ask to see if the ZIO'S PIZZA located at 13 th street & CHESTNUT still in business? Because I worked in this pizza shop and we used to make a best pizza and cheesesteaks in Philadelphia...the city hall and the courthouse employees used to take the lunch at our place ....( chicken cheesesteak and the cheesesteak + pizza burger were our best sellers ) ..Karim from Algeria ...

You guys need to use the same crew and do a roast pork sandwich tour in Philly. Philly is the best sandwich city in the US. Tremendous pizza too.

Tourist traps, both of them. Don't even rate in the top ten.

Y'all do know Pats and Genos aren't the only places to go? It's plenty of places here that have better steaks. Explores Den, Max's Jim's or Iskabibbles. Or go in any hood where the steaks are wat better. Genos and Pats are where the tourist go.

Geno's was excellent back in the old days when they started out in business .Nowadays Geno's is more interested in making fast money. Thier cheese steak looks the same but it's not like it was years back.
