It’s our first week in NSW as we head down the North Coast, starting in Byron Bay, we make our way south towards Port Macquarie. We spend a few days exploring the awesome surf side town of Byron, visiting the beautiful Cape Byron Lighthouse and tick off the most Easterly Point of Australia, all before the heavens open.

Next stop, we head to Coffs Harbour to visit The Big Banana, and also stop by lovely South West Rocks and check out Trial Bay Gaol. We then continue our journey down the coast and find an awesome little caravan park with an amazing Aqua Park, just outside Port Macquarie.

Thanks for watching and sharing our journey. Stay up to date and help support us by subscribing to our channel and we love to see video likes and comments too!

Doing the tourist brochure stuff. But there is considerable hill - mountain in behind Woolgoolga - Sandy Beach [ north of Coffs Harbour ] and if you can negotiate the bodgy 4WD tracks up to the top of the biggest mountain in there, if you can find it [ mostly banana farm the last time I checked ] you can see to buggery and back up and down the coastline. I was saying to someone a few decades back that the little urban plot just up north from that highest peak was Mullaway, and then Corindi a little further up, and he was saying " Nah. No way ! " and I replied " You better believe it. And the furtherest visibility north would be just about half way to Queensland. ". Its private property but its generally open range, no gates, but its uphill safari conditions, and you just say you are inquiring about work, and, " What ? We are going to swipe all your bananas ? ".

Wonderful - I was able to relive almost every step of your journey round Cape Byron, remembering our visit there with you 3 or 4 years ago. Quick change of mood with the torrential rain, which must be part of the weather flooding Queensland and NSW - commiserations.
Interesting to see the Austral/Dutch model village, which seemed to be a similar idea to Port Meirion in Wales, UK. and what a uniquely amazing feature at Port McQuarrie Aqua Park.
.Most amazing of all, though, all the views of the wonderful Eastern seaboard and the wild waves. Thanks again !
