This video is amazing, I was in this guys shoes not so long ago and can relate completly from the breaking down in the car to singing my heart out and throwing the last peice of her I had left out the window. This song made me think about my personnal stuff. This guy has all his life in a suitcase. I'm only 22 years old and I have too much stuff that I care about. I think I need to be more free from objects and stuff, and be more free. I need to stop carring about the sentimental bond that I have with some objects, and lower this dependence.
This song literally changed my perception of life, and the perception of myself in this world.

I used to love Riptide, but that isn't his best song by far! I LOVE THIS

To me the car symbolizes his thoughts on his life now that his relationship went up in smoke. Showing that he probably felt that his life has come to an end; not being able to go back nor move on. Except once he allowed himself time to grieve and soak everything in; he was able to accept the ending of the relationship and was able to move forward (hence the car working again.).

I went to France to visit my girlfriend who I met in the states because she was studying abroad. I had stayed for a month and a half in France, traveling every part of the beautiful country. It changed my life dramatically. I flew back taking two layovers because I am just a college student and I have no money. I traveled via American airlines and they played this song every time I landed and I have so much nostalgia every time I hear this song. I miss her dearly, yes, and this song reminds me that feelings are real. Thank you.
