Zaunkoenig M2K Alternative? - PMM Mods P-CBR 8K - Crazy Fingertip Gaming Mouse - 3D Printed Mouse

This is a look at the PMM Mods P-CBR 8K, A 3D Printed Shell that uses the Zaunkoenig M2K Internals.

A crazy lightweight mouse with a spin on the original Zaunkoenig M2K.
Inspired by the Logitech G303 and Tesla Cybertruck.
I purchased the P-CBR 8K Mod-kit but it is also available as a Prebuilt.

This mouse is insanely light weight at around 24g and uses the Zaunkoenig M2K PCB.
I'm also using SapphireSkates Ruby Sapphire Skates and an Enncoo AirCord which is purchased from Gilmore Designs with the correct connector.

I've started using the XTEN Cloth/ Control Medium pad for a change over my Artisan Hien Mouse pad.

The Scroll wheel is lubed with keyboard lube Krytox GPL 205g0 to make the scrolling smoother, just where plastic meets plastic. Not the encoder.

Nice review! Good in depth explanation. I got a mod-kit a while ago for the G305 & Starlight which was great. After seeing this, I am tempted to try a prebuilt one!

Very cool video. Right now I'm trying to make a m2k clone meant to be 3d printed and to be even lighter. I'm not sure if It'll work, but would you be able to give me a little help regarding the design (mostly on the aesthetic part)?

Yes, I am using my G502 from 2014. Interesting you should ask. The programmable buttons stopped working. The cable sleeve has worn off on the back edge of my table. The coating is worn off. My friend on Discord heard me using the scroll wheel and said "It sounds like you're sawing wood".

Yes, I play with the full compliment of weights on board (168g). But, I want to try something radically different, so thanks for making this video.

Is the PMM CBR 8K or the wireless CBR closest to m2k in terms of shape/profile?

Are you still using the pcbr 8k? I currently have one and love it but I really want to get the encoo air cord but atm Gilmore isn’t doing any install service for now. I was wondering if you wanted to trade my pcbr 8k for yours since it has the encoo air cord. I really love the shape and how light it is, but even with my bungee, i still feel the cable slapping.

Reason why I want that cable is because I came from a g pro to a superlight to the pcbr 8k and love the wireless-cable free feel that I actually got the Superlight 2 in hopes to replace the pcbr but man, I love the shape of pcbr. Had no trouble adjusting to the superlight but I much now prefer the shape of the 8k and will be returning the Superlight 2.

We are in the same zaunkoenig server. I’m not sure if you recall but we’ve messaged each other and Ive sent pictures of my 8k with the cerapad kin with a custom logo that reads “HeyNavi”.

The only issue with my copy is that the scroll wheel is off centered. I’ve messaged pmm and they said it was an easy fix and to move it with a screw driver but I’m not tech savvy with mice so didn’t bother with it. It’s a little loose too so the wheel can move side to side but not a dramatic amount. The mouse overall is good and have no troubles with it.

If you’re willing to trade, I can send some pictures and videos of the mouse and the mouse wheel.

Edit: forgot to mention, you don’t have to include mouse skates/sapphire skates. I actually have 3 extra pair of skates from zaunkoenig. And if you have the pmm case that came with the mouse, I’d appreciate it if you can include that since IF we do trade, I will also be including that just so it’s secure and safe during transit.

HSK Pro 4K is better value... Especially if you know how to desolder switches as I found the zippy switches in my HSK Pro 4K are a little too soft and squishy feeling.. kinda feel like optical switches.. def going to change them out with a different switch eventually
