With the fiasco that is going on with #adipurush , one wonders whether the issue is projects that are mounted for only monetary success. Is it a #bollywood issue? Should Prabhas go back to his #telugu roots & cinema that is true to his region? Will #salaar #projectk and projects with #sandeepreddyvanga change the game? The case with Prabhas is the reason why Yash, Ram Charan, NTR & Allu Arjun are taking their time to select films after reading scripts & not just signing contract with some production house for next 3 movies.

For me, Salaar, Project-K and Spirit are in safe hands of directors.
Fault is with the producers who ramped up the budget just because they had Prabhas as lead actor.
His pan India stardom is a perfect case study of what not to do as a star, producer and director.

All we can do now is to hope that he will be back with a double bang.

Prabhas had already lined up Saaho & Radheshyam before Bahubali 2 released. After the massive success of B2, the producers increased budgets and they preferred style over substance for those movies...but I feel current lineup of Prabhas is way better ( except Adipurush) so we may expect a good comeback from him.

Both Sahoo and Radhe Shyam were produced by UV creations which is like a home production house for Prabhas. After the success of Bahubali, they made unnecessary changes in the script just to make the movie look like an epic. If you remember the first teaser of Sahoo that was released, it shows a small scene from the climax that was shot in a factory like location probably in a studio. But later in the film, that same scene was shot in a desert, with Mad Max kind of treatment. Similarly, Radheshyam was first thought of as a love story in a hill station in India which went on to become a vintage Europe love story. All of this was just to make them look like epics...

As much as I'm pissed that Yash hasn't announced his new film and has disappeared for almost an year post kgf 2, if that means that he isn't going to fall in the same trap as prabhas I'm happy to wait for 5 more years if I have to.

Hope project k and salaar gives Prabhas a much neeeded comeback, because I'm 100% sure it aint gonna be adipurush.

I have been following Prabhas closely since his 2013 film Mirchi, which was a blockbuster in its time. Since then, I have known Prabhas as a decent and hardworking actor, who possesses high potential in his aura to create magic.
Then Baahubali happened, and his life got changed. He became a household name and a highly admired superstar in entire India. Not just because of his popularity and success as a lead actor of Baahubali, but as a humble—genuine person. He came out as a person who is exactly the same in his personal life as he is seen in his public appearance.
Apparently, the audience, especially the Hindi audience, was tired and fed up with the fake narrative and appearance of so-called Bollywood stars. They seemed fake, artificial, and multi-faced. People were occupied with the notion that film stars are full of ego, attitude, style, and show-off. Then, Prabhas came. And he broke the prejudices and conceptions of the Indian audience that film stars can be humble too – even after carrying such huge popularity and craze among the country. Prabhas made the neutral audience believe that big stars are also connected to their roots. And that popularity and craze weren't digested by many people, both in Bollywood and his own industry, Tollywood. People, who verbally pretended to be standing up with him and were happy for his success, silently tried to pull him down.
Prabhas did not know how to handle such vultures of film industries, as he has always been supportive and caring for people. Many people used his popularity just to "promote" themselves and their films. And Prabhas did let them use him unknowingly. Some YouTube channels, self-proclaimed critics and film analysts, creators, artists, filmmakers and producers; everyone… Everyone used his name as a brand just to stimulate their content among the masses, as these people knew the on-ground popularity of Prabhas. They praised him on social media whenever they wanted support from his fans.
But!
When Prabhas needed support, nobody showed up except a very few people. But later, they also took a step back and became silent about his films.
Prabhas was mostly stabbed by his "friends" and the production house he feels like his own, UV Creations. UV Creations just banished his potential as a star and actor and ruined his 6-7 important career years, where he could have done genuinely good films with some big and renowned production houses of India. That could have boosted his stardom to its zenith, as 6-7 years are a very huge timeframe for any individual and if they are lost and wasted, it becomes too difficult to rejuvenate yourself to your fullest. But, UVC just lustrously demolished his stardom among neutral audiences. By choosing very mediocre and inexperienced incapable directors for such huge big-budget films like Saaho and Radhe Shyam. Had these films been written by some skilled and professional scriptwriters and directed by some proficient and technically sound directors, the results of his last 2 films would have been enormously huge, and Prabhas would be setting untouchable heights for every contemporary actor by now.
Saaho and Radhe Shyam were genuinely not very bad films on paper. Saaho had a brilliant screenplay on paper, and Radhe Shyam had an attractive subject and concept as a classic love story. But, such unique ideas' potential was tarnished by very immature, naive and mediocre directors: Sujeeth and Radha Krishna Kumar. They didn't even have any idea about the "presentation" of a film which is strongly conveyed by its screenplay and editing. I strongly condemn the way that Saaho and Radhe Shyam were executed.
Those people, who argue that love stories do not appeal to masses thus Radhe Shyam couldn't do well, have no idea about how well a simple love story can be presented in front of audiences to deliver some heart striking moments. Take example & inspiration from the movies 96 and Sita Ramam.
Prabhas needs to understand that after all- the content, concept and script are what make a film great. Radhe Shyam was surely a good concept, but it didn't have the scope for spending ₹300 crore. It's high time that Prabhas understands his stature as a star, as well as an actor, and chooses scripts accordingly. He may take 2, 3, 4, or 5 years to complete a single project, but it must be worth waiting for.

Even though Prabhas is having a very dull phase at the box office. The Telugu film industry ( the producers in particular ) aren't really worried about his stardom. Even though he did not have a large fanbase that came with his family name. He is one of the last superstar from the industry in a career filled with ups and downs. The producers are aware that his fan base and crowd pulling capability at the ground level of Telugu states hasn't really been affected. Prabhas is very loyal to his producers and directors. The two releases post Bahubali were earlier promises made to the directors and both were not really the kind of films that connected to his core audience (general audience). Hope this comes to an end once Adipurush gets done and we get to witness his stardom with Salaar and Project- K

He's still one of the biggest stars. The hype for his upcoming films (including Adipurush) speaks everything.

I think it's pretty normal for any actor.. everyone gone through tough time when their films failed one after one.. like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, NTR etc.

Adipurush can be enjoyed only on 3d according to om raut which means that even when it comes to online you need to arrange a 3d glasses.

After Bahubali the expectations reached sky-high for him. So his next films must reach those expectations and he is working with young directors. All his films are not bad films but were released on high expectations which it could not reach

Underrated opinion:with this big pan India movies we miss old prabhas movies like darling, Mr. Perfect which are quite enjoyable and the movies he did post bahubali 2 were not upto the mark.I think it happened bcoz prabhas's inability to judge the flow of the movie.I mean on paper u can say that both saaho and radheshyam has the capability to be a blockbuster but whether can they be executed with same vision? Directors who don't have any experience with such big budget films given the opportunity to direct prabhas on such a massive scale .both of the directors the directors failed miserably to execute with same vision. All hopes are on saalar, project K and Sandeep's film

I have been a Prabhas fan as long as I can remember, it was way before Baahubali. One thing he always did with his films was, he experimented too much and made films for friendship sake. Like Yogi, Rebel....etc They were flops, but he rose again with some good films like Darling, Mr Perfect, Mirchi etc. This behaviour had always made me wonder. How long would he continue this, one day or the other he has to stick to a certain genre kind of films. I am so happy he didn't. Some failed terribly on content pov but, I really wish he doesn't limit himself for a single genre films🙏. Hope he gives a strong comeback and I really hope it starts with Adipurush.

Prabhas has not gone anywhere he is the biggest star for me and for all his fans even adipurush teaser is not good but it is still a most awaiting film Jai rebel star

Many stars had successes and failures. But the off-screen attitude of him being shy and grounded is what makes him unique. That is why many people love him.

Prabhas did projects like sahoo and radhe shyam hoping that these new directors show their real talents and put 100% efforts since it is their first movie. The same case for Mirchi, he had a hope that new director ( koratala shiva) have something new and special, which resulted with great success. But unfortunately that same method didn't work after bb2.

The fan following of Prabhas was huge before Bahubali. After mirchi which grossed around 90 cores in feb it was excepted that he is the next actor after MB and PSPK who can bring audience on his own merit without family support and give the industry hit. And he delivered his next 2 movies are industry hits. It was a fanbase built by himself especially in Hyderabad, rural regions of Telangana and Godavari districts of AP. Sahoo and Radhe Shyam are flops but his Telugu fanbase doesn’t give f**k about it because of the love he earned due to his offscreen simplicity and humbleness. He never got into controversy like Allu Arjun hence the neutrals love him more. The biggest example of this loyal fanbase is mirchi openings after horrible Rebel. I can say it’s almost impossible to write off Prabhas in Telugu states. But I don’t know the condition in other areas of India. Adipurush is maybe one of the worst things he has done but I still think it would open decently. Because it’s Ramayan. I don’t think so his stardom is at stake but Adipurush could be a disappointing return. I don’t know how Mr Om Raut released that teaser. I seriously hope it was a prank but sadly it isn’t. Salaar would be hysteria I would love to watch it in Sudarshan theatre in Hyderabad. It is great place to watch
Waiting for Salaar
All the best Prabhas
