After the COVID pandemic exposed the progressive agenda’s penetration into the public school system, parents are exploring every option to provide their children with an education that reflects their values, including homeschool. Jason asks former United States Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos if the decision to homeschool could actually deepen the educational divide.

Thank you Jason for bringing this to light! I’m a SAH wife and homeschooling mom. We’re a one income family in an effort to homeschool our kids, and it’s the best and most amazing thing ever.

Homeschooling should be the norm not the exception. The government got people hooked on public school so they think they have no other option

I HOPE it’s divide. I don’t want to be part of this insanity that’s being taught in our public schools. I’d LOVE TO be divided from that.

My understanding is a nearby affluent school district has teachers supplementing weak curricula with stronger academic assignments. This is supported by parents.

These parents want their kids to get a good education. That’s why they moved there. Those teachers trying to work with the students and parents are being fired.

Public schools were mediocre when I was in high school in the 1970s. They’ve gone down exponentially. Third graders in communist China are leaning calculus. At least their brainwashed kids are getting a good education.

Give your kids to Caesar, they’ll come back Romans. The demonizing of homeschoolers is ramping up. That tells you something. When you demonize, you’ve got no argument.

Powerful teachers unions seem to care about keeping power for themselves. Not kids.

I lean pretty conservative; I met this lady a few times during my time at GVSU and she gives off a erie vibe. It’s vital for kids to have the social experiences public school provides; it’s also up to parents to be involved in education, too. Unfortunately, the all mighty $ and dividing our country is more important.

I'm not a fan of Betsy Devos. I did not think she was a good candidate for SOE but I do support school vouchers

Bernie Sanders asked this lady if her family didn't donate $200 million to republicans, would she be up as a nominee for education secretary... She said it's a possibility...

So black home schooling has gone from 3% to 15%. Nice.

I wonder what Stacy Abrams Michelle Obama and
Oprah think about that. Lol.

State(public) schools teach us to tolerate shit situations that we don't need to be in. The school systems needs our kids, our kids don't need the school system. It teaches us to be sheep, we're scared to make the jump out of there without more people going the same way. You're not wrong, it is shit, and leaving is the right thing to do.

Choose Private homeschooling. Do you know these men?
Sigmund Freud, John Dewey, Dr. G. Brock Chisholm, Dr. Chester M. Pierce, Bertrand Russell
Do you know their worldviews? Sadly, they are influencing millions from the grave. Ideas have consequences.

Sending a child to public school is child abuse.

She gave out good stats, but lost me when she started that backpack business. She sounded just like a school teacher, give a useless cutsey analogy. That is one reason to get kids out of public school, just one. Teachers do this all the time Just give the information out and do not insult a person's intelligence with a dumb explanation. Put options in a kid's backpack? Really? Kids and adults know when they are getting talked down to. Just give the info, and don't act like you have to give a scenario for a person to understand.
