You're right, it looks wonderfully cozy! I was so glad to hear you say "car coat" because we always said that at home - I love the contrast of the light/dark grays so that it almost looks like you have a binding. And great tip on the binding. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to remove stitches - I'd put holes in the fabric for sure! Love you - xoxoxox

I made mine from Joann Fabrics raspberry Luxe Fleece. I widened the neck facing 5/8" on both sides, and hand-sewed over the trimmed back neck seam. It makes the neck sturdier. I also lengthened the sleeves 2". These were good suggestions. This coat was comfy for Easter dawn outdoor worship!

Bet that coat would be fabulous in boiled wool with a decorative contrast thread along the edges instead of hemming them or turning them under. Embroidery would be great on it too!

Hi Andra! That is such a great coat. I love how the wide hood creates that shawl collar. I like how it looks with the addition of the cuffs. It's also cool how it came out two toned because of your great fabric choice! Very nice, as always! 😁💕

Hi Andra - Your coat looks so comfy. The tips for sewing the coat with fleece was very helpful. Wish I had a coat like that when we lost power in a wind storm for over two days and our house got so cold! It was in the 40s during the day and the 30s at night. 🥶Take Care
