William Trubridge: how deep can I dive?

William has set multiple world records in freediving and is still the deepest man in the category of diving without fins, where he set the record to 102 meters. He's also the founder of Vertical Blue, which is the world's premiere freediving competition and a freediving school in the Bahamas. He's the author of a book called 'oxygen' and of a system that teaches you very practically how to deal with stress, called 'The mental immune system'. In other words, he's deep in more ways than one. In this video, we explore the different types of depth, posed by the seemingly simple and often asked question of how deep William can dive.

I did three courses with Umberto back in 07, 08 and 09 in Sharm. I wouldn’t consider myself a Freediver. Neither now, nor then. But, … my „deepest“ dives were the ones where I didn’t dove to go deep. Means;… the less I pushed and tried, the better the dive was in regards of pleasure. The less you think, the better. I don‘t consider myself a Freediver, because I only enjoyed the warm waters of the Red Sea. I dove in cold waters and Pools, too. But, … it didn’t had this massive attraction as the endless blue of the red sea. The dives of this three years are something, I think at least every second day about.
