Using a arrow as a spatula is strangely funny.

There’s something so great about humans expressing excitement and happiness by just make a guttural noise of positivity instead of actual words, it’s just such a genuine “I am joyful” sound

i love how James is basically slapping the fire when he's putting the skillet stand down on the grill haha, good stuff as always!

Every time I listen to Eoin speak about restoring tools and doing carpentry, I feel myself becoming more and more Irish. At this rate I'm gonna need my own flat-cap and knitted sweater.

The only place I wanna go to in Ireland is this castle they work at. Be part of some of the mischief they get up to

That’s a wonderful restoration Eoin! It seasoned up beautifully! I love the handle as well! Great job!!
I wanted to suggest you get a lead testing kit for the pan. Often times cast iron pots and pans were used to melt metals like lead in the past. Lead poisoning is no good.
You guys to be safe!
Keep up all the great work! Love your channel! ❤

There's definitely something about food cooked in the field.

Love your videos! I do strongly recommend upgrading to a higher smoke point oil for seasoning the cast iron. Like grapeseed oil or flax seed oil. Makes for a better longer lasting coat.

Oven at full volume made me chuckle. Looks great!

A couple quick tips on seasoning (though you may already know these)
1. Using a higher smoke point oil like canola or avocado oil will tend to work better and stay resilient at higher cooking temperatures
2. When you season the pan in the oven turn it upside down so that any excess oil drips off instead of pooling and becoming sticky

This is probably irrelevant now that you're cooking in it, the fats and oils in your food will keep improving the seasoning over the years and it'll be good to go!

I have several cast iron skillets from size 4, 6, 8, 10 & dutch oven, I use bacon fat to season them. Have had them over 40yrs! Hello 👋🏻 from Southern California 🌴

Funny enough, this posted right around breakfast time here. And now I’m hungry for sausage. Nice work! I enjoy your videos.

Eoin, when your vids are also starting to make me hungry, then WE GOT A PROBLEM MATE 😂 Your content has already made me buy lots of old woodworking tools I only need once in a while.

I've a cast iron double sided griddle/flat. It belong to my grandad, it's over 150 years old. Thank you for showing me how to care for it. ❤
