My tear almost dropped out... what a man.. Paul Washer and I listen to John MacArthur sermons 3-5hrs everyday and I thank God for him. He is so faithful in his teaching, no hocus pocus and no sillinessss! Take it or leave it.

I may borrow from that, also. This one is true for all believers:
To preach the word in the household. This is one thing people miss. They rely on the preacher, but really fathers and mothers need to step up.

My conviction is that above all else, get to know God! "They that know their God are strong and do exploits". You can have a head full of knowledge and employ all the evangelistic devices but it is the man who knows God and is filled with the Spirit who will see great things done. D.L Moody was such a man.

That's definitely to the point, God's word is serious and there's quite a few churches that are far from the Truth. To know the word and to preach the word, is a start.

I attended a Pastors conference a few years back where John MacArthur was key note on a Thursday evening. When he stood up to speak....I wept. The man doesn’t know me but he discipled me for many years before I was called to Pastoral ministry. Some don’t like him. Some actually despise him. But John MacArthur has made an impact on his world by knowing... teaching.... and preaching the Word of God. I stand with him !

The question is this: If you don't really KNOW the Word, how do you discern that the Jesus you mentioned is not a sentimental, partial, diminished Jesus, but a BIBLICAL Jesus, the incarnate God??? That's why these two blessed pastors and brothers emphasized from the view of the Word, because John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." v. 14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." Deuteronomy 8:3: " man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." John 5:39 Jesus said: "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, "

He teaches from the Bible sorry who ever can't handle the truth it's their salvation at stake The bible is truth and can't be changed to suit sinners to BAD!!!

So many of you don’t listen to John MacArthur and it shows. I’ve heard numerous preachings when he speaks about knowing Christ. He speaks about becoming one with Christ not just knowing about him. He has an actual doctorates degree in theology, most of us here don’t. Come back to me when you have. We are quick to judge without researching.
