This is my wife and I’s wedding song and what we used for our first dance. We got married just before the pandemic…seems like ages ago at this point. As bad as these past two years have been, listening to this song brings me back to better times and always makes me feel better <3. after nearly 5 years of being a fan, i finally got to see young the giant live for the first time this past november, in milwaukee. i took the day off from classes and hopped on a bus all the way from michigan.

one of my most wonderful memories of that day was standing outside of the venue, 2 hours before doors. it was 20 degrees out, i could feel my hands going numb under my gloves. it felt like forever out there. but not long after i hopped in line, i heard the band's soundcheck coming from the open window above me. they played this song, all the way through, and it was oddly comforting to hear it behind muffled walls, so close yet so separate. for once i didn't mind freezing my butt off. and it was even more amazing to hear it played just a few hours later, right in front of me. to this day it still doesn't feel real. i will always cherish this song, and this band. y'all are the best. ❤️
