I remember when I didn't know dying from laughter was a thing: my comedian Sim was in a date with his wife, they were both very happy, and I made him tell the "funniest joke in the world", that was all it took... He became a widower right there and then.

The Sims Old Age death is kind of sweet in a way. They just wave to everyone like, “Bye, it’s time for me to go.” And then just calmly lies on the ground. No fanfare, no dramatic music. Just easy acceptance after a long, fulfilling life.

I like the grim reaper's animation for reaping the live stock animals. I wish it was like that for pets too. Its sweet and makes you feel a little better about losing your buddy.

The first time I had a chicken die of old age, it took an entire day for Grim to get it because my obsidian chicken kept fighting him. He circled the lot for the entire day until the obsidian chicken went in the coop

I love how in the livestock death of old age, the reaper gives them a little comforting hug and the animals look like they smile a bit. Its cute and heartbreaking at the same time ❤😭

Let’s face it, the Grim Reaper is 100% an animal person. Like, he’s so gentle with them but with sims, meh it’s just another dead body 😅

I feel like Death by Sadness should be a thing.

Basically what you have to do: get your Sim's mood from Sad, to Despairing, to Depressed. You'll get a little moodlet that says "(Sim's name here) is feeling really sad. They should cheer up, if they don't, something bad could happen..." If that doesn't happen, their death animation will show them crying and calling for the Grim Reaper (could be considered suicide), then laying down.
