I've been learning in a easy way all of your expressions. I completed 1 year of studies and this experience has been unbelievable because currently i can understand English native speakers without struggling. As Brazilian i can't talk freely in the middle of the street or other places because we talk only in Portuguese (my first language). When I started making some progress in the language, I found myself using always the word "but", when I wanted to overcome this filler word I tried to find another ways to say "but" desperately. I think its important to note that most alternatives to 'but' are highly unnatural in every day fluent speech and you won't find native English speakers using alternatives to 'but' when' but' will do. The shown alternatives are great for writing though.
