Chris was in my church choir in Nashville. He sang just behind me in the tenor section. Hearing his voice in choir practice was always such a joy. We were all so proud of him when he moved to NYC to pursue his talent. He sent the choir a letter and our conductor Murray read it to everyone. I always thought he would be a success, and it does surprise me that he didn't just rocket to the big time. I'm a singer too and think the industry and the gatekeepers to fame and success are very corrupt and controlling. They want to keep the ones who are already famous in the public consciousness more than they want someone who is genuinely talented to be recognized for their gifts. I hope he is happy and feels fulfilled no matter what. Success is relative. Keep being you Chris.

I just discovered this as year-old posting on a friend's Facebook page and the song was about the unemployment office phone number being busy. I thought, Oh boy, what is this? A straight guy imitating the Great Randy Rainbow? Looks like every Tom, Dick and and Harry with a $10 webcam is trying for a sliver of Randy's spotlight---but THIS GUY IS OUTSTANDING! I've been here listening to him for two hours now and I guess that freakn lawn of mine isn't going to get mowed again today. DAMN YOU, CHRIS MAN!
