The peanut-a-bout in Worcester, Mass. used to be a dangerous, uncontrollable intersection of 10 streets called Kelly Square.

Carmel/Indianapolis has had these for a while. No one seems to struggle with them too surprisingly given indiana drivers

That’s a dog bone. Carmel IN uses them under or over almost every major road interchange to allow thru-traffic on the highway, and roundabouts on each exit and entrance side.

The peanut roundabout is also good for intersections that have more than 2 streets.

We've had something a lot like that for at least 5-6 years in Missouri. Admittedly, it doesn't look as cool in pictures since it goes under the highway. I've always called it a dog bone.

It’s a roundabout for odd shaped intersections where you couldn’t fit a normal roundabout. Could be achieved too with 2 small roundabout connected with a small segment of road.
