A lot of African American ancestors was bantu ppl taken from kingdom of Ndongo now called ANgola. They was trying to protect the kingdom from the port a user and got kidnapped and taken to Virginiaand Carolina . Some renamed themselves Gullah

The team at the Thomson House are amazing! Slavio, Yola and Gabriel are the best! Also, just wanted to add that the kwanza has depreciated immensely over the last year or so, hence Luanda has become more affordable for international travelers.

One of my best friends here in the Netherlands is Angolan. I'd like to visit Luanda for a week. A lot of that depends on time and money. I'd also like to visit Senegal, so a choice will be made, though its leaning towards Senegal. There are now package holidays from the Netherlands to Senegal so it will be cheaper. Luanda seems extremely expensive. Though I have been to Cape Verde, a trip to mainland Africa will be the first in my Jamaican family for since forever.

I'm glad to see some business and tourist development in ilha. It has the potential for a lot. Needs to be transformed into a tourist, casino, hotel, spot like Ocean Drive in Miami. Prices are still high and we need more and better services throughout the city and country. Can't wait for Angola to be a major tourist hub and I hope we attract the best! We still need to develop the country, and give locals and tourists alike options to better explore the country through rail, sea, road and air at affordabe prices. We'll get there. thanks.

I plan on visiting Angola next year and on the visa application it asks for the Name/ Agency that will be responsible for your stay. I plan to just travel their myself, could I just put my self down as the person who is responsible for my stay?
