How to Write Calligraphy on the reMarkable 2 | Best Practice Getting Started

Get started with the basics of faux calligraphy and hand lettering on the reMarkable 2 or on paper. Practice your handwriting, your signature, get inspired, or use it to draw while you're on calls.

Quick Little Lesson:
Faux calligraphy is fake calligraphy created by using other instruments. For example, the Marker Plus, ballpoints, pencils, chalk, and not having to use fancy nibs or brush pens.

Different Types of Calligraphy: (Origin or alphabet used) Eastern, Western, Arabic
Style: (Known as scripts = type of tools being used)
Western Styles: Traditional Pointed Pen, Modern, Broad Edge, Faux, Brush Pen, etc.

The faux calligraphy in this video follows more of a pointed pen/ modern calligraphy script.
Find which script you like best and look at that alphabet as you practice on your reMarkable.

I have really enjoyed all your videos. You are a precise person and I like that you take your time writing and planning out documents. I find I am always in a rush so have terrible handwriting. One of the reasons I bought my first rM in 2018 when they just launched was to slow down and get back to writing. I am a constant note taker and really missed taking notes as I had gone into this weird hybrid process of taking notes on my phone, in emails via laptop, etc. As a result, my thoughts and notes were all over the place. Then I stumbled across the rM and was in heaven getting back to constant note taking - I am in sales so it's perfect to keep track of customer meetings, to dos, goals, etc. I just upgraded to the rM 2 and it is a nice update.

Remembering doing this in the 1st class in elementary school. That was a hell and it did not change after 40 years. Neural connection between my brain and right hand is just good to feed myself, nothing more. Admire everyone with painting skills. :)

Hi Monsty, Great news, new update of Remarkable 2 now has more color option. Exported color blue and red. And for the highlighter Exported color yellow, green and pink. Maybe you can make a nice tutorial out of that? 😀🌺

quick question: i'm thinking of getting remarkable2; but i write with a calligraphy-tip pen on a regular basis (yes, call me a snob); if i use the calligraphy pen tip on remarkable 2, will it do a good OCR of notes to docs? also, is this calligraphy-tip pen mode included with the reg remarkable2 or is it an additional, downloadable feature?
