Shearwater Reopens! | First Session Back! | Winter Carp Fishing 2023

The magnificent Shearwater Lake on the Longleat Estate just outside Warminster, Wilts, needs no introduction to many. With a fantastic stock of mixed coarse species including, carp, roach, bream, pike and perch, the 36-acre lakes offer both the specimen carp, match and pleasure angler alike the ultimate day ticket venue for an action-packed session in glorious surroundings. CARPology's Joe Wooltorton was one of the first to enjoy a winter carp fishing session when the historic lake reopened its gates for the first time since March 2020.

Im glad its open again but the carparks arent exactly secure because they can be accessed at all times from many tracks. The gate has a lock but only matter of time before code is leaked for anyone to unlock

Sorry am I being stupid but saying your baiting up at 19 wraps so you clipped up half a rod length short to allow the swing back? Surely it will be even shorter of the spot being clipped up shorter than spod? Ild say the rod clipped half a rod length longer is prop right over the bait and will be the one too do the bites...
