Another Great Policy From El Salvador

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador released a statement announcing that the country will be offering 5,000 free passports "to highly skilled scientists, engineers, doctors, artists, and philosophers from abroad." This is not a bad idea. Maybe we should do something like that here.

Outstanding idea. I’m good friends with several social workers who stay in touch with people who recently entered through the border illegally. I don’t blame the person as much as I blame the current administration’s policies which exacerbate an already bad situation. That being said, my friends have told me that many of them have useful skills from home that they can’t legally practice here which leads them to resort to off-the-books jobs or unskilled positions, neither of which is very helpful to our country. I know of a woman who was a lawyer in her country who now works at a pizza shop, another who was a dentist and is now a nanny, another who is a foot doctor and is now a home health aide. This a no-win for all involved. Enforce the existing laws, secure the border, more funding for the years long backlog of cases, bring skilled labor to the front of the line.

As a resident of PA, Fetterman was always a representative for the common person, whether classified as left or right. When he had his stroke, it seemed like people around him hijacked his agenda and it went wonky left. I feel now that he has facilities back, he is also back for us regular peeps.

That's what Canada did and now we're short on construction workers and other hard labor jobs. It's a good idea for El Salvador though, it's almost opposite, so depends on the situation.

I’m a Plumber & HVAC Tech from Germany, planning on moving to either Texas or Florida, because Germany ~can’t be~ doesn’t want to be saved. All the paperwork etc. kann be a bit of a hassle, but I rather do it the right & legal way, than to just enter illegally.

Imagine if El Savador imported the etching machines and fab facilities for semi conductor manufacturing at $0 tariffs. All of a sudden, they can be manufacturing chips like printing their own money.

I've been looking at property investment in El Salvador because of the reforms. My kids and wife have duel citizenship in Mexico and US so they could get full citizenship in El Salvador in one year under current rules. I own an orange Grove in Mexico but the only law is cartel law. I love what I'm seeing in El Salvador and it keeps getting better. If they keep it up it may become a huge retirement destination.
