I've a BMW with idrive 6 and looking at the software in the Mercedes I was wondering if that is a lot easier to use than the new idrive 8 which seems to have a lot of apps?

No to be picky but just been on the website and there are no deals for this car.

It should be illegal to put HVAC controls into a computer screen, other than that this is a pretty cool car. It would be useless here in Alaska but I still like it. Yeah it snows 7 months out of the year here and drops down to -65f so electric vehicles don't work, and touch screens are pretty useless in extreme cold, also driver safety features are useless here because in the winter the road only exists with a person ahead of you has driven, you frequently make your own road, you don't see the actual road for about 7 months due to snow and ice, and it's often a hundred plus miles between towns, in some cases it's nearly 500 miles between towns, so you can't really rely on infrastructure to keep your vehicle going. Obviously Anchorage is different, but Anchorage is a pinprick in the size of Alaska, Alaska is the size of Western Europe lol.
