Van crash performance also applies to:
2019+ Opel / Vauxhall Movano.

Two full-scale crash tests were carried out involving a commercial van of the N1 category. The reference test is the Euro NCAP Mobile Progressive Deformable Barrier (MPDB) test against a half-loaded van. This test provides insight into the protection offered to the van’s driver and front passenger during the crash. It also examines the risk that the van poses to passengers in another vehicle, based on the analysis of the barrier footprint. For comparison, the same commercial van was crashed into a modern 5-star passenger car of approximately the same weight as the barrier and at the same test speed. (50% Overlap / 50 Km/h)

Commericial vehicles need to be compliant with the same laws as passenger vehicles. I can't believe that a passenger airbag is optional on a cargo van with passenger seats.

CarPro1993, what do you think about the new type of crash test conducted recently in russia? It is similar to the test with car and truck moving towards each other at speeds of 50 km h and with an overlap of 50%(this test holds Euro NCAP), but the Russian version otherlicense the fact that car and truck of mass 1400 kg moving with a speed of 60 km h and the overlap is 30%.As an experiment, a 2020 Volkswagen Polo Liftback was smashed. The results of an experimental test showed that the dummy passenger did not experience serious overloads and is likely to avoid injury. But the driver got worse: his head broke through the airbag and hit the steering wheel. one of the reasons for this was that the seat belt load limiter allowed excessive belt stretching. the overload of the head, recorded by the sensors, turned out to be deadly.Soon there should be a video on youtube from autoreview magazine journalists who conducted this crash test.So far there are only photos

Doesn't do too well, but looks much better than the Fiat Ducato. - What I also noticed : 2:35 the doors on both sides almost opened - or is that intentionally made so passangers can be more easily rescued?
