Why are you going to cut with these scissors - at the bottom even the blades after the repair do not converge.

Lot of effort for not much pay off there my man, work on giving it a better finish (maybe a belt sander and a bit of a polish)
and make sure it's functional (remove a few mm from the back of the handle so it closes completely and align the blades).

Strange thing to do....heating and release the jaws. Why not spray penetration oil or WD40 to loosen it. That’s what anyone else would have done.

It would be good for you to do some proper restorations of more complex items, as seen on many other similar channels where parts have to be re-manufactured or repaired. Here we just see simple rust removal and general tidying up of simple implements which anyone can do.

Not very interesting I’m afraid, other than seeing what’s under all the rust.
