Mail in ballots should start being counted when early voting starts which would speed up the process.

I grew up in Alaska and this always happens because there are little village that only get mail and send mail once a week or month.

This is like standing in line for the haunted house at Disney world. Your all eager to get on the ride, then you look at a long winding line and you feel defeated and dejected, but you stick it out. You then notice sign nearby that says the wait is about 15 minutes from here. At this point you become happy because your expectations of a great ride is only a small time away. If had not seen that sign the fifteen minutes would seem an unendurable eternity. Moral, be patient.

BTW, if you did request a mail-in ballot, you must: "Bring your unused ballot with you to your local polling place on Election Day, and a poll worker will exchange it for an in-person ballot"

All votes should be first come first count. If you votes early and mail in should be rewarded with the first count for diligence.

There's nothing in the Constitution or Declaration that says we need a definitive winner on election night. Who cares? The electorial college isn't verified until Dec 10 this year... so, we have 4 1/2 weeks to sort this out. No reason to call this oh, oops, we have a 6-3. Nevermind.
