The Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC announces that 3-year-old female panda, Bao Bao, who was born at the zoo, will head to China early next year. Born in 2013, Bao Bao was the zoo's first surviving cub since 2005. Now after three years she will go to the land of her forebears. According to the zoo's agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association, all cubs born at the Zoo are supposed to move to China before their fourth birthday. Bao Bao's older brother, Tai Shan has already gone in 2010. However, visitors can still see her younger brother Bei Bei, and her parents, Mei Xiang and Tian Tian. And zoo workers are hoping that the couple will have another baby next year.
