Wow, the commitment level is awesome! I have to ask, is this a business for you or a hobby? With talking about giving all that away, it doesn't sound like a business, but the scale and diversity of the operation and the level of commitment seems way beyond a hobby.

I just planted my first and only brown turkey fig in my Florida 9b ground today. Its a little over a year old, and i shamefully had it in its original 1gal pot on my patio.

I started collecting fruit trees about 2 yrs ago and I am moving towards a food forest kind of thing. I have been learning a in lot from your fig cutting and air layering videos today after a mention by Mike Kincaid. Currently we have about 40 different trees, almost every one of them smaller that what you were moving and pruning. My wife wouldn't be happy about buying all those pots for me to just give them away, y'all must be in this together! Anyway, thanks for the content!

Respect!🎉

Great informative video. Do you try to keep your garage a specific temperature range during the Winter? Thanks!

I heard you say you were doing giveaways. I'm in Michigan, idk what city you're in but if it's close enough, I'd get some this fall if you're getting rid of more. I'm just getting started growing this year. Not sure if I'll get ripe fruit but really digging the videos.

Hi Dan, thanks for the great video! Where did you get those 26 inch pots? They look pretty sturdy and nice looking as well!

Dan, Many thanks for everything you do for the fig community.
Your state ranges from 4a - 6b. What zone are you in?
Im in upstate NY and hoping we are in the same zone. I will then be able to you all of your experience.

Dan, I have a question about Winter "Potted Fig Storage",
I don't have a garage but have 23 1st. year potted fig trees that
I need to keep alive thru the New England winter. I have a 12X16 Shed
which I intend to use supplemental heat using a heater, do you think that
would work and how should I keep the thermostat at 35? 32? ??? Thanks for
your time and everything you do. Much appreicated.

Hey Dan, what do you do with the cuttings after you place them in the bins with the moss?

Dan, thanks for this video! This is so helpful for us newbies.

When rooting cuttings with 3 nodes, are two above the potting medium and one below or one above and two below?

Thank you for sharing this info. Question: I have 10 cultures that we have grown since May of this year. Do we leave outside to frost, Bring inside basement and let them go dormant or do I put inside under light and continue to grow? They are 8/10 inches in height and I am located in the greater Boston area. We are not familiar with these little cultures. Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanks

I have 5 in ground figs. I know not to prune the ones that make Brenda but I’m not sure about how I should prune my vdb, kadota and panache. I heard that at minimum I should cut the tips off all of them to get rid of the apical dominance? On panache for instance should I prune my side branches all the way back to leave one or two buds?

How deep are those pots? I know you mentioned 12 & 12" but can't really tell how tall they are.
