I'm beginning my declutter series for 2023. I'm starting with foundations. There's way more than I thought. Just so you know, I've got mature skin. (I'm 48-years-old) I also have combo skin, and prefer a light, to light medium coverage in my foundation products.

I'd love to know which foundations are your favorites, and why. Let me know in the comment section below.

I found you through declutters but I’m staying bc I turn 40 in less than year and shew I’m scared skirtless lol (seriously lol) but I’ve really Bn changing up who I watch since my makeup styles have changed. Plus I haven’t been a creator since I used to help Gina w/Noveau chic so it’s been years ( I still get PR but not as much as I used too) but like I’m slowly doing a giant declutter (we are also building our version of a tiny home ) and last night I found loose glitters I had to declutter bc I’m like my early twenties maybe but now NO WAY. I’m in too a much more natural look and into more KBeauty and luxury makeup than I am just trending high end & drug store! I am loving all your vids!

Hello! I am so glad I found your channel - I feel like we are shade twins *and* have the same overall palette (dark brown hair and eyes), which is so rare to come by. Honestly, even my own sisters don't share the same super fair, neutral complexion! This has video been so helpful - as have all your videos about Lisa Eldridge lipsticks! Thank you for taking the time to share all of your experience with various products and shades. Wishing you the most wonderful day from Southern France! ☀

Love this! I actually had my eye on a few of these foundations but I’m deciding to go through the ones I have first. Sometimes it pays for me to wait for final thoughts, this video is a good example of that you’ve helped me cross a few out my list. Lol. It’s so hard when everyone is trying the new stuff and I wanna be in on it 😂. Foundations are definitely an achilles for me.

I loved this. I’m older than you. I’m finding myself loving glowy, sheer, tinted moisturizer with added concealer. I had been in love with the Kosas foundation and concealer, so much so that I got a back up during a sale. But I’m not so much in love with it this winter and I don’t know why. I get a better look from a Neutrogena Tinted moisturizer and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Very often a color corrector is enough under my eyes. To the extent that I wear any powder it has been elf Halo in Light Pink to further brighten under my eyes.

Greetings! I’m a new subscriber and love your content. I do think we have the same skin tone and undertone. I may be a tad deeper as I’m a fair-light. I love a radiant hydrating foundation as I have dry mature skin. I’m a Shiseido girl and love the same one you enjoy. I love the new Shiseido Revitallescence foundation. It’s beautiful! Have you ever tested Nars in the Mont Blanc shade? It really works for me. Thank you again for your content. Have a great week ahead! 💕

Great video and very helpful! I’m going to be 50 this year and struggling to find a great formula.

I have the hardest time picking the right foundation shade. I'm pretty fair and I've always considered myself to be neutral undertones, but usually still pull yellow on me. Drives me bonkers 😄

Oh I haven’t had balance and brighten in forever, I need to pick that up. I do have the LG double take, which is fuller coverage and I really like. Ulta had a sale last week and I bought a backup for my EL, hydra rescue, my fav! I have to mix shades in winter, but I’m a solid 3N1 in summer. I picked up the Lancôme teint idole on sale last week, today is my first morning using it. I need good go to for looong days. I do have EL double wear. I’m going to watch this again with a notepad🥰. Thank you for all the research, it really helps!

My concerns is skin tone match. If it’s not glowy I can use other products to help with the lit from within look. However I don’t want the harsh line around my face that makes it look like a mask. If I can match that then I can handle everything else. I’m tempted with the Lisa Eldridge foundation. What is your application method with that one as I heard it can be a little difficult to use at first? Love the videos ❤

I also didn't love the Sephora Best Skin Ever, and I just heard so many good things.

Hi, I have the Bobbi Brown stick foundation and concealer and it is amazing shade ('10) and also stays on my face, looks good and I do not even set it. (I try to avoid powder at all cost since I am almost 60). Give a look at the shade range. I feel it looks natural and seamless when I apply primer.

Enjoyed the way you swatched and blended, as well as explained why the color either worked or didn't work. Your explanation for the formula experiences was very relatable as well. I recently went through mine with the idea I would be brutal. I am 51 and realized I don't want to have to make a foundation work. I want to slap mine on and know it's going to work regardless of my skin's temperament that day. I had so many lovelies that I hardly decluttered anything. Lol. But I refuse to buy anything new without some very careful reflection on my current stash.

You should try Blunder cover by Monica Blunder. I’m 54.It’s a great balm foundation for mature skin. I’m shade 3 and used their shade match system….it was spot on! I’d also highly recommend the Surratt Dew Drop for you. It’s exactly what you say you love.

I think so many of us keep trying foundation, yet we'll wear one of two all the time. I am super pale, and I also just buy or order the lightest shade in any line. I just recently purchased the same Estee Lauder in the tube that you like. You know I'm an EL girl, but I haven't LOVED one of their foundations in decades. This one is okay, and I'll use is up, but I won't repurchase. My favorite high end is the Shiseido Synchro Skin; for me, there is nothing else quite like this. I use it sparingly (a little goes such a long way) and I will defintely repurchase when finished. For drugstore, L'Oreal is the leader of the pac. I have 4 various formulas, and all of them winners. I don't even know if they still make my favorite, which was their Lumi formula. I had purchased 4 bottles when Rite Aid had a 40% off sale, so I'll have those for a while. I'm using one, and still have one back up. I've never caved and purchased the OG fave Armani silk or any Dior or Channel, although I'm always tempted. Believe it or not, I just purchased my first Laura Geller product ever! I ordered a blush palette through QVC and I am in love with the baked formula! I'm pretty lucky, I can make any formula work, and I really have no underlying tone to my skin, so I can make almost any very light shade work. Weird, I know.

Ui, came from the Prada video to check your other matches - it is amazing how hard it is to tell one's shade by these videos..

Great video, thank you! I’m using the Estee Lauder double wear. Could you please explain how to clean the pump? Thank you!

I used to swatch foundations on my lower jaw and leave and go to a different lighting because the lights at Sephora and ulta wash out everything.
