Saddleridge Fire-Aerial View at Dawn Oct 12

Mark Kono telkk oks is what he is seeing in this feed from KTLA’s Sky5 helicopter at 10,500 feet above Newhall Pass and the 5 Freeway just after break of day shows how much containment firefighters have achieved throughout the day yesterday. As this Saddleridge Fire enters its third day, most of the active flame is just north of Highway 5 with good Phos-Chek lines over several of the ridges.

This visual update occurred just before the 7:30am press conference to update fire extent, etc.
