Fan Friday Request:
"From March 30, 1990…Rob Weller, from the Home Show, showed up for a tour of Dave’s house.
I recall there were many poodles involved, a fish in the bathtub, a collection of Jack Lord figurines holding bunnies and his “wife” Nancy sitting on the couch with a random Jamaican guy listening to reggae music.
Thanks!!!
-Russ Poteet"

The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate — but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

Could you please do a video featuring Don Giller's favorite moments? His video archives of both shows got me and countless others through the pandemic. I'm sure many of us would love to hear from him too.

In '95, I was using Dave's tanning bed for seasonal affective disorder, before it was a thing!
I remember his crib😁

Dave did "MTV Cribs" before MTV. Our boy was ahead of the pack.

This is more like it. Dave had built his Jack Lord collection with no help from eBay by the way.

I just think of Jimmy Fallon's pablum and kiss the Earth Dave walked on. I honestly can't believe Fallon gets away with his lame 'game shows' which are just excuses for him to say, "I can do that too!". How insecure do you to be? Meanwhile Dave was doing insane original stuff and it's STILL funnier all these years later.

You should post the interview with Mr. T. He seemed deeply upset about something and Dave wasn't sure if he was serious or not. Backstory would be interesting on that one.

I remember a little bit I'd love to see again. It was many years ago and I may have some details wrong, but it was more or less like this: Some staff member brought in pans of ziti that they or a family member had made, and staff members crowded onto the stage dishing up plates of ziti. A high-pitched voice from somewhere squeaked, "Ziti! Ziti! Want more ziti!" over and over, with Dave responding nonchalantly, "Yes, yes, we know..."

A minor moment, but it really stuck in my head. ("Or did I dream it?" as Terry Jones wondered in Life of Brian.)

Here’s some trivia. Rob Weller hosted WLS-TV’s A.M. Chicago before Oprah Winfrey, who would go on to turn it into her nationally syndicated talk show.

I would love to see Videos of visiting Dave's mother's house, like the ones he use to do on his show.

Those were so funny. Again, I, and probably many others would love to see new Videos of him calling his mom or something similar and funny.

I realize you would have to use old Videos and Pictures, but I am sure the team could come up with something very good! Or at least something similar.

Thanks, Tiger
