Plastic Hive Review

Throwing all caution to the wind I have decided to do my first hive split with a plastic nuc. Here is a review of the hive I chose and why.

Dont use a sticky board in the bottom tray. I have this exact same hive and the bees are always in the tray. They fit through the bottom screen. The screen appears to be the same setup as a queen excluder. Makes me question the ability to run two colonies in it.
