World’s Best First Class? Air France La Premiere

I flew Air France from Nice to Dubai. During online check-in I decided to upgrade my ticket from Business Class to La Premiere, which is Air France's very exclusive First Class.

I was escorted to the plane by an Air France agent in Nice. After a non-eventful one-hour domestic flight, I arrived at Paris CDG where I was met by my personal escort and a limo to the Air France Salon La Premiere (lounge). I enjoyed some of the great French food and drink there before I headed off for my next flight to Dubai.

The Air France Paris to Dubai flight was a B777-300/ER. I was fortunate enough to be the only passenger in La Premiere. Take a look at the understated luxury design and elegance of the cabin. Combine with great French gastronomy and La Premiere remains one of my favourite all-time First-Class experiences. During the video, I also reveal the best way to fly in La Premiere.

Being last to board makes so much sense. Surprised other airlines haven’t taken notice (at least for long haul flights) why would you wait to sit and wait 30+ mins when you could have more time in the lounge

Air France La Premiere is definetely one of the best first class. I love the interior design especially the curtain and the lamp. It feels soft like in our comfort bedroom.

"Understated luxury and design" Yes, the French do have great taste. Very classy. I flew on AF 747 (economy) from Montreal to Paris, and from Paris to Toronto, and they are still very memorable flights, many years later. I am envious, Sam. Thank you for another beautiful video 👍

Thank you Sam, As french and former frequent flyer with Air France wings, I noticed the permanence of excellence and french discreet elegance are still here. I really miss my flights on asian routes.

Air France has a long lasting history in air transport and I can remember my first flights from Sao Paulo to Paris in the 60' on board a 707. Always appreciated the smile and service of the crew, even in domestic flights. Great video Sam and thank for the upgrade!

I have to say that whole experience looked amazing but huge merits to that ground staff member with you in CDG, she was very polite and genuinely friendly which is something you don't often find among premium cabins

I flew coach on Air France from Paris to Detroit a few years ago and it was the best coach flight I've ever taken. Two excellent meals, great flight attendants.

I like the classic luxury design without the gold and the no-frills, no-fuss retro style of that first class cabin. It looks far more relaxing than many of its multiple screen shiny competitors from UAE or Asia.

I have been fortunate enough to fly La Premiere twice from Paris to NY. I caught specials both times and payed LESS that business class. Only thing missed here (since he didn’t originate in Paris and likely not a long enough layover) is the escort upon arrival in CDG thru security ti the lounge, the complimentary facial or massage, and the private jet bridge on the A380 into the La Premiere cabin. Truly one of the most amazing flying experience ever. And I had a few minor sked changes on my journey and Air France truly went above and beyond to compensate me for my “inconvenience”. Seriously one of the best flying experiences ever!
