Runuck Spright Fur Hire is what i assume this decklist is over. In which case, 3 Fossil Dig is absolutely correct.
You maximize you chances of seeing Rex by playing 6 copies. And this deck draws so many cards that if any of them are dead, it doesn't really matter as you will have many other cards to potentially do stuff with. You can use dead copies as discard fodder if necessary, and Fossil Dig isn't a once per turn. Open all 3 and you can search with all three.
There is no world where i see someone who is actually good at this game is not playing it at least 2 copies.
