I will never understand this "let the kids learn what they want" mentality. Sometimes there are things you NEED to learn that you might not want to learn. Even if you're Home Schooling they still need to learn most of the things kids are learning at all. What if they decide they don't want to learn math, history, or beyond 5th grade level grammar?
