It was Doug Gilmour at his zenith as he scores from behind the net on Curtis Joseph and the St. Louis Blues to take Game 1 in OT in the 1992-93 playoffs.

Bob Cole will forever be the voice of hockey to me, being only 12 yrs old watching this 92/93 playoff run -- just barely old enough to 'get it' for the first time. It didn't hurt that we had Gilmour, Clark and Maple Leaf Gardens at that time .. but Bob brought so much excitement and what felt like grandfather wisdom and humour to the broadcasts that shaped a huge part of my life. He will be missed by this guy, gonna pour one out for him tonight. RIP Bob, what a legend.

Im so glad i got to experience a game at Maple Leaf Gardens when the Leafs barn wasnt a bloody museum and blue collar folks could bring their family to see their team compete.

The roar of the Gardens faithful. This was the team that would have won the cup. If it wasn't for Ketru Fraser hooping his whistle and linesmen were blindfolded and looking the other way. I don't care about what's been said, the Leafs would have crushed the Canadiens in the Finals that year. I know Wayne Gretzky is the "great one" but, he looked entirely guilty. I think there was a lot of favouritism for him. It was painfully obvious. I know Gretzky won't admit it but, he knows what he did.
