Without even watching the episode yet, as a 36 year old that recently had my dad say he was sorry for some things that happen when I was a child, to yesterday watching my husband call our 13 and 12 year old daughters back out from getting ready for bed to say he was sorry for something and then play a card game with them to continue conversation and restoring relationship. It is incredibly powerful.

I remember being in junior high/ high school when I went to a mother daughter conference and for King and Country was there. That conference was a huge turning point in my confidence and even just my faith journey in general. I will always be thankful for my mom being intentional with our time together and consistently trying to help me grow in love for the Lord. Now I am a mom and I have the opportunity to take the things my mom taught me and showed me and i am able to do the same for my daughter. Our family is and always will be our first ministry. I absolutely loved the idea of a life journal for my daughter and will be going after work today to pick one up and start that, I loved how sentimental that is.

I waited to watch the movie in cinemas here in Australia before watching this episode. I LOVE for King and Country and Rebecca St James, and to think they come from South East Queensland like me is crazy. Love your work, keep it up.

I’ve heard their music everyday and I went to the concert. And I also saw the preview of Unsung Hero and it was emotional but amazing. Can’t wait to see it again!

48:23 Watching this part of the conversation about overcoming disappointment really reminded me of my sophomore year of high school. I loved swimming but hated Water polo I ended up finishing the sport season strong but i hated going every day after school. But it taught me preserve in the midst of challenges and disappointment.

I was raised by Jewish parents who might have accepted Jesus just before they passed away. My parents were protective of me because of my limitations/ challenges. I could talk to my mom about most anything, accept Jesus. If I said anything about church her response was, “That’s your thing.” She was afraid of me joining a cult, maybe because of the Jim Jones incident in the 1978.
