What were your impressions after watching “The Plight Before Christmas”? Do you agree that it’s the best Christmas episode from the show?

There have been many example through the series where they explained that Gene has a natural music talent and has no skill in classical music training, but has been slowly learning during the show run

The fact that this did not when the Emmy breaks my heart. It is in my mind the most perfect 22 min of xmas viewing I have ever seen.

this episode made me cry; watching Louise break inside because it does hurt her her to know no one is going to be there for her made me tear up; being a working parents, I know how bob and Linda feel when they try their best and still let there kid down, it is the worst feeling; then Tina being the best older sister who knows her little sister very well and making the sacrifice that she knew her parents couldn't make had me full on crying its so touching and full of heart

I just watched it. And I've listed to the credits song a couple of times. Now the credits song makes me happy cry.

I’m 63 and every time I see Tina come in and wave “Hi” to Louise I’m in tears. It would’ve been nice for Louise to read her poem to Bob, as Linda mends his bloody knees. But other than that IMHO, this is the greatest episode EVER!!!

This episode was very reminiscent of Back to the Future. Gene's musical performance was like Marty needing to play guitar when the original guitarist was out of commission. Bob was like Doc, adding to the suspense when everything kept failing. Louise was also like Marty, who feels like the outcast of the family, but still needs to do her live performance to keep the family alive. When she's up at the podium, she starts to fade for a few seconds like zMarty with the picture of his family, and then Tina shows up just in time and does the wave like George McFly when he pushes the bully off his future wife. It's got the same buildup with the music to increase the suspense. I think it's sort of an indirect homage

Truly a work of art...or maybe a work of heart...

So never saw a single episode of Bob's Burger, don't even know much about it, is it worth watching? Would love to give it a try but I just don't know if it's for me.

I gave you your first thumbs down because of the _Die Hard_ bullshit, but I love everything else

They make the same horrible mistake as the Simpsons: TOO MANY Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas episodes yet no one ever ages. It annoys me to no end!!

I know they make episodes year after year, but in the long run they all get watched over a couple nights or weeks. You don't need holiday episodes every season.
