Laurence Owen is a composer, songwriter and sound designer from the UK. He has enjoyed collaborating with an array of international filmmakers, performers, theatre practitioners and corporate clients, as well as being sound designer for critically-lauded multimedia theatre company 1927.

Laurence’s music has been heard at many international film festivals, and his score for White Morning was heard at Sundance Film Festival 2014.

In 2013, he won the Früh Kölsch Award for "Best Music in a Short Film", at SoundTrack_Cologne, as well as being nominated for the Peer Raben Music Award. In 2015, he was nominated for "Best Theatre Sound" at the ProSound Awards in London.

His past clients have included O2, Stella Artois, Toyota, The V&A Museum, ARTE and BBC Radio 3.

Laurence has also toured Europe both as a session musician and a performer in his own right. He performs musical comedy, placing 3rd in the 2014 Musical Comedy Awards, and winning the 2015 Malcolm Hardee Award in Edinburgh for his Fringe show, Cinemusical. He took his third solo hour to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016.
