OP–1 field, now with velocity sensitivity.

the latest OP–1 field firmware update introduces velocity sensitivity, as well as the ability to adjust tape speed to external clock, a mono/stereo setting for line in, pre-tape panning, and syncing of fm frequency with OB–4.

thanks to mikael ericsson & micke reuter for their dedication to velocity science.

Thank you TE. I love my OP-1 Field even more now, and I didn't think that would be possible.

Works great on my early run OP-1 Field. The capacity must have been there all along. Thanks.

Thanks TE once again!! This was the first thing I was hoping the OP-1 field would have and now it's here! It also works via BLE (bluetooth) MIDI which is pretty amazing!! Amazing work guys! THANK U!! 💜

Whelp I guess the argument that the op1 isnt a "real synth" is done. This combined with the wave synth onboard makes this the "only" portable full synth on the marked next the the M8. My only suggestion to TE now, is to utilize the full memory on board to maybe get clouds on it and look into a lot more synths, similar to the M8. We are talking like 200. I know theres space for it. The more synths the more power. Possible ad a tracker sequencer to it as well. Theres a lot that can be done here with the space allotted. The price is steep so the idea of beating out the competition by fully packing the device would make it a most have for the competitions.

The op-1 revolutionized things a decade ago when it came out. Dont get me wrong, the Field version is good, but its not revolutionizing anything. I say this with love. It needs to be more future forward and more future proof. the m8 tracker beats it in everyway possible and I say that with love to the developer of the m8 as well. Both devices are amazing, I just think TE needs to push the OP F to the freaking limit, think ludicrous mode on the tesla. Go power level 9000 on this, it has to be done for the price.

I must say this OP-1 field is extremely powerful in what it can do. BUT lacks a lot of modern features in regard to creating a song that would make all the “ oh it’s to expensive ” into dust.

Cool features would be nice:

1. skip back from the Roland SP404.

2. Keys and chords for noobs

3. And three take the unique features of what makes digitact unique and apply to the op-1 (in regard to sequencing) and then you have a truly powerful potable machine.

Ohh and one last one. MORE TRACKS and a friendly way to cut and paste for song arrangement and editing.. I thin the new MPC 3 software does a great job there when it comes to to fully creating a song inside the box

Hmm, does it use the accelerometor, or the internal mic? Cause I thought the keys had no sensitivity.

imma point out the elephant in the room....why did it take so long? i don't have an op-1 but it like crazy expensive and didn't even have velocity sensitivity? plus you added it with a firmware update so that means it had it to begin with right??? i mean even a midi controller i bought for 60 bucks had velocity sensitivity.

How did you do velocity sensitivity so good with a keyboard that only has two states? It's pressed and neutral, how does the OP-1 field know if you press harder?

Ok… good move TE… still not worth $2000, though. If you could add eight tracks and a better recording method, then it would be a considerable price.
