I began filing my taxes this year and then saw that despite not going tax exempt at all this year (as I have in the past), I still owe $200. And that's not what I owed from years prior. I do owe about $2K...well, now $2.2K. I made only $47K last year (my regular pay is just under $45K, so two thousand of that was overtime). I am single and don't have kids but it's a little disturbing that not even $50K is the cutoff on me getting a tax return or even just breaking even. So unless I begin making less, I'll never again get a tax return (which yes, I know a tax return means you've paid too much but I'd rather that than having not paid enough).
