The players not retained have made the news as much as those retained with some iconic stars heading into the mega auction now. Watch me breakdown my thoughts on each team and their selections declared yesterday.

Mi and srh looks similar but very different. All indian squad of Mumbai indians is spectacular.
Even with a small purse they can assemble decent foreign players .

Head gets the starts with only 2 fielders on the boundary. Most openers can give you good start. But not anyone can come in with 5, 6 overs to go, 5 fielders on the boundary and strike from ball one. Klaasen and Pooran rightfully deserves their high payment packages

now i got the point why SRK wanted all RTM and no retention, basically with RTM there is no way that any team could give anybody under the table money like MI has done with its player. with retention MI has give more than 30 cr to all retained player and just to show on paper they have shown less amount.

For srh also they are very settled unit..


In the top abi and head would do attack and in the middle nitish and klassen do the demolition...

Cummins-- good captain, good bowler, decent lower order hitter..


Now they need a balancing player at 3, a finsiher at 6, and a floater at 7 and a good spinner and good powerplay bowler. And natarajan....

First they must target NAMAN DHIR for no 3 or they might go for angkrish raguvamsi or they may encourage another telugu player like ashwin hebbar...

At 6 they might get back Samad... and at 7 they might get back shabaz ahmed...

For all these 3 postions they dont need star palyers.. they just need good Indians....

Also they might target chahal but in recent ipls chahal not that much effective as earlier.. so i suggest them their 4 th player must be an overseas spinner... to do that role

They might see NOOR AHMED, MITCHELL SANTNER, KESAB MAHARAJ, ADAM JAMPA, QAIS AHEMD OR MUJEEB UR REHMAN.. among these six they must get one....

I like to seee noor ahmed in this squad..

And for the powerplay bowler role they might need mukesh chowdary or bhuvi or deepak chahar or vidwath kaverappa or vaibhav arora..

And they need a good indian bowler who can clock 150s....

They must get back Natrajan..


For theese plyaers money might bee needed like this

Naman dhir 3 to 4 cr
Samad 2 to 3 cr
Shabaz 2to 3 cr
Natarajan 6cr
Noor ahmed 8cr
One rookie indian pacer like mayank yadav with amount of 4cr atmost

27 cr must be spent like this ..

With 18cr in their purse they can buy backups
