Summary: Cognitive Journal to change your thought processes in real time
A= Activating Event that triggers the negative emotional thought pattern
B= Belief about the event - your negative self talk - what are you thinking about what happened that triggers your negative self talk?
C= Consequences of those beliefs - does it make you anxious / chase?
D= Disputation - you constructively challenge the negative beliefs - you ask how do I want to talk to myself about this event?

Dr. S I listened to, I believe, your first podcast on chat with traders and what stood out to me most about you is that you identified you enjoyed helping people become better (traders) moreso than being a profitable full time trader yourself. What a treat, and how lucky we are, to get content from you as you've clearly an established successful career in the field. I appreciate the content immensely and moreso you taking the time to "shout into the void" and throw it onto YouTube to see what sticks. You don't have to make the time for these videos but you choose to. It says a lot about your character and your approach to helping people better develop themselves. Thank you.

How to Restructure Your Trading Psychology:
Cognitive Journal
1) Piece of paper
2) Create 4 Columns
* column A, Column B, Column C and Column D
3) Title Column A as, “activating event, ” or “triggering market event”
4) Title Column B your belief, what are you telling yourself
5) Title Column C as what are the consequences of this belief/thought process
6) Title Column D as, “Disputation” your constructive thinking/beliefs, you are challenging your negative beliefs
