I created VKTM, and I just want to say thank you for this excellent intro to the GOI.

I’ve had so so much fun writing these weird stories over the last two years.

I’ve always been aiming for somewhere between unsettling and the uncomfortable laugh, splitting the difference between horror and absurdism. Sometimes shifting from one sentence to the next in tone.

I’ve always refused to explain why VKTM is doing anything, and it’s gotten fairly popular with SCP fans, and I think that’s fascinating because it organically grew out of my desire to write weird creepy but humorous stories that felt very early in the SCP vibe.

Anyway, hilarious usage of the DVD logo! And very fitting

8:02 so glad that all these modern SCPs ES reads now days include important details like zip codes and the number of chickens a character bought at a super market, the number of minutes it takes for a character to drive to a location, etc. it's really important information that ads to the quality of the story and makes me want to keep listening because of how interesting it is
