I would not mind if these videos were more in depth, like the release notes. The audio quality needs some improvement though.

Thanks for enabling comments! These videos might have a really small reach right now, but I do think they are important. Maybe some push from the marketing team could give it a boost. I believe most people would much appreciate this video format if they knew about it. Maybe a popup with the video inside VSCode after updates? (This might be controversial)

I always watch these videos upon each update for a quick overview before reading the release notes. This efficient use of media saves time and identifies features that warrant a deeper dive. I wish more software would offer this rather than just a bullet list of commit highlights. Props to you for making them entertaining ("Clark" Griswold), but I wonder if some of that fun is worth the effort. Wishes: keep them "byte"-sized but ease the pace by elaborating on the examples a bit more. Would not object if Microsoft increased your "in front of camera" production quality. Bring back Bauer so my Quinn can see how other black labs code.

Hi man! (and vscode team) I think the videos are super useful, I check them instead of reading the release notes, so I agree with Vlad that they could be more in depth. For the rest keep it up and i am sure you will come with more improvements

I really love these videos. They're extremely helpful. I tend to watch a Release Highlights video to get an overview of the new features, and then to read the Release notes to dive deeper. But without the videos it would be too difficult to concentrate and understand the Release notes

Love the videos. They are short and if I see something I need, I delve deeper in the docs and explore more.

The demos were a bit quick and it's hard to see what's important in the various settings. Also, maybe consider making gifs with new feature highlights, similar to how the Overwatch community (and other video games) feature patch notes. This will give social media (aka, reddit) easy, digestible fodder for sharing. Please keep doing these videos!

Much like the Chrome release videos, I really like having a video highlighting the recent changes. I would however like them to be a little more in depth, it feels like you skipped over some of this releases features, and the ones you covered were glossed over. It might be nice to describe why you would use some of the features, as well as how.

The videos are good and definitely helpful. They could be a bit more in detail though, showing the feature i.e. what it's supposed to be doing, and then explaining what the new change is and if not completely clear from those two explanations, explain the reasoning behind adding the change. (usually, if you need that last step, the change might be bloat. :-) ) So, something like, "With feature X, you can do this and that, and now, with the change, you can also do this now too. The reason for adding this was....". Also, please remove the closed captions, as they hide a good bit of the screen. If people need CC, they can turn them on. Thanks!

Be cool if you took a small existing project and showed how you can quickly use VS code to refactor. Start to finish. Link to commits. 10mins.

These videos are useful but I would like even more details. Around 5-10 minutes would be fine for video length - more than double the length of this one.

demos were really too quick, so i could not get the context of what is going on

Can you guys not include subtitles in the actual video source and use YouTube's please? Super distracting for me when there's 30 other lines of code up. Not saying don't enable them but just having them on no matter what doesn't work for everyone.
