When asking this question I often refer to amazing Spider-Man 365.

Very cool video! Always love seeing weird defects!!

Measure it. Baseball cards have a transparent grid that overlays the card to test centering, seems like that’s what you need here.

Oh yeah looks like a lot of extra paper there. I looked up photos of graded copies and raw copies and his boot is pretty much touching the edge. Crazy stuff.

I got a carnage first appearance where the cover is off center but the staple are in right place and no spine ticks and I'm scared to send it in

Interesting? I need to look at my copy and see if it has this? I wonder how common this is?

I have the exact same defect on the exact same book and they sent it back ungraded. Then they wouldn't tell me why they wouldn't grade it

Thor 337 is known to have cover cut issues, some cut the boot at the bottom of the page. But that would be good to know how they would grade that issue.

If you send that to cbcs it would come back a 8.0 to 8.5 with notes unlike CGC which would just have a grade with no notes

I have a comic with two covers. Someone screwed up back then making it 😆 probably worth double now. ...

Mine has a similar issue at the bottom only and slight cover miswrap, it's a 9.4.
ASM 300 tends to have chattering along the cover edge that gives it almost a postage stamp look and mine still pulled a 9.4, ASM 121 tends to have these small rips on the bottom front and back of the cover (also production) they take away from the appeal but I've seen them at least 8.5.
I think 9.2 no lower.

The solution would be to trim it (without consequence) to the point where it could not be perceivable.

Excellent video as usual. I'd rather watch these than what's on TV. I do have a bit of a mystery that I'd like your opinion on, if you don't mind. I wasn't sure if this was a good place to post it, or if there's a another way to contact you that's better.

Bro, I have experienced this first hand. I sent my WBN #32 off to CGC to get graded and they didn't grade it because of the front cover having over hang. As far as the miscut on the corners go, I can't tell you.

Did you know about all weird defects when you bought it?

My Thor 337 has same flaw top right corner (bottom corner survived the poor cutting job). I don’t think such a book should get a 9.8 and thus would predict 9.4-9.6 for books with such flaws if the book is otherwise flawless

Chris: Yeah, I'm just going to sit this right here! Go ahead, stare at it as much as you like!
Me: You ain't right! I literally just purchased a bunch of Thor comics, like 45 minutes ago, but wasn't able to secure that one!
Good video my guy! It is interesting to see how these grading companies treat printer related defects.
