EP149: Flying a BRAND NEW Cirrus SR20 G6 in bad weather over the English Channel. From London Oxford Airport around South East England and across to France. But with bad weather in the channel will we make it to Le Touquet? Also we're cleared through Heathrow's Controlled Airspace and get awesome views over London in Cirrus G-CTUK.

We depart London Oxford Airport and overfly Blenheim Palace. Then South past Basingstoke to Southampton. Across the South Coast to Brighton then encounter rain and poor visibility. We discuss decision making techniques, how to get clearance through controlled airspace, and chat about flying in the UK.

Fantastic video Stef! You and Philippe should get together more often. Great chemistry made a great vid, and the pictures you took were amazing. Thanks for posting.

That was fun to watch. Shoulder to shoulder flying helps when you get along well. Great production. Loved the 360 around the palace.

Brilliant film, Stef! Really well done. Production values and content each score a solid A+. I’ve watched several videos featuring Philippe taking pilots up in Cirrus aircraft. I’ve enjoyed them all, but this one may be my favorite! Many thanks!

I really enjoy watching your videos, between your’s and Niko’s videos I am going to have to do a Cirrus conversion.

Interesting video. A mix of flying and sightseeing. Thank you Stef. Nice to see the Whit Cliffs again. Nice plane too. I'll have to find someone who has one & bribe for a ride. Keep flying safe

awesome mission Stef ! shame you did not cross the channel, but still a wonderful flight. I had 13 hours worth of flying lessons when I was a young teenager, flying old school cessna 152's and piper cherokee's out of Liverpool and RAF Woodvale ; I am almost 47 now, yet you are giving me the bug to have another go

Bring the plane back home Stef. The countryside looks awesome and the cities look big. Love that Cirrrus.

Stef, This one stood out. Didn't realise England can look like the "brown" fields around Melbourne. Amazing sights. Cliffs & Castles and 1300' over the CBD - Very Cool. Maybe you can give us a run-down on GA in the UK at the next CPPP (Assuming you're going to Orange?)

Hey mate great channel I also like airplanes because my grandfather got me into them as he flew practice missions in the Indian Air Force with the RAF in the 70s

Hi Stef, nice flight, very jealous you having a go in a new SR20 G6, love the new G1000 NXi so much crisper than before. Philippe is becoming a bit of a YouTube star, flying with PlaneOldBen, the Flying Reporter and now you!.

I agree with what you said about it being easy to fly abroad. Have flown in Sydney across to the ANZ Arena, down to below 400ft AGL along the coast past Manly, Watson's bay, down Bondi Beach past the airport and turned in Botany bay to retrace our steps, also in San Francisco from San Carlos to transit Oakland International, Treasure Island, Angel Island, over the Golden Gate then downtown (over my previous office on Market Street) following Highway 101 abeam SFO before landing back at San Carlos - both amazing flights and a great way to see a new country and experience the differences in ATC and Procedures as well as get some great photo's. Definitely recommend it to anyone with an interest in flight whether you're a pilot of not.

Great video and good to see London from the air. Makes me want to get my PPL even more now!

Great vid and I loved the bit about having courage to ask ATC. I did that in Perth and got the most stunning views flying around CBD. Always worth it when the area is not too congested or you have a copilot to help with radio comms and lookout. Great job with those vids mate!

You know if you put a ND filter on your GoPro the prop lines won’t show up as the darker it is the less shutter issues there is. I think ND8 is the best
