NEW SOVIET FOCUS TREE - DEV DIARY - Hearts of Iron 4

The Soviet Union Focus Tree has arrived!

In possibly my longest video ever I cover the biggest parts of this weeks Hearts of Iron 4 dev diary that caught most of us off guard. I had an america video lined up and everything haha. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the little animation at the start - I know theyre silly but I feel they add some character dynamic to the channel - and I enjoy making them from time to time.

Honestly, I think that the Soviets propaganda path should give ridiculous boosts to political power gain so you can do the decisions, or alternatively making the decisions 5, maybe 10 political power each cause as it stands it seems to difficult to gain more then a few in each department

Thanks - a good review. About half way through it seemed a bit like they were re-arranging standard focuses and adding hoops to jump through for the sake of it, but then it got alot more interesting ! So much hoping for restore the Tsar ? Next Week ? Cheers, MMM

I bet they’d got for a decentralized policy for the rest of the Soviet republics.

There should be event /decision after you are in war have over certain surrender progress. That would give you back some of purged generals and manpower.
Not everyone during Great purge was killed many of them were sent to Siberian camps and released during war to fight Germans.

In the tank designer dev diary they talked about the question mark you mentioned. It's used to flag certain armored vehicles with a "symbol", similar to ships, and you can then tell divisions to only use tanks flagged down with such symbols. For example, if you design a Tank Destroyer that has balanced soft and hard attack, and one with very high hard attack and piercing, you can add TD battalions into your division in the designer, and specify which of either tank you want them to use.
