Miami will let jimmy walk. Before they take on unwanted contracts

I was one of those who criticised the Warriors trade scenario with Buddy Hield so I'm happy you clarified that the touchscreen trades are just to show how the money works. HOWEVER, I think most people would rather be presented with actual trade scenarios that could make sense for both teams. The concept of demonstrating that several contracts must be traded to match the salary of a bigger contract can easily be explained verbally. Obviously, some people are visual learners but frankly, everyone judges the trade scenarios you're showing because they want to get excited over a big trade... so let's make them realistic, please.

Miami let the following players walk:
LeBron
Wade
Jae Crowder
PJ Tucker
Gabe Vincent
Max Strus
Caleb Martin

The Heat aren’t in the business of trading productive players before their contracts end for future assets.

Bobby Marks doing the only real reporting on this issue

The only people involved in the negotiations are the player, agent, and team officials. Any noise outside of those people are just speculating

People saying jimmy is not worth it don’t understand that teams want him for playoffs not so much regular season jimmy has been the best player in the playoffs these past 5 years the only time he hasn’t been good is cuz of a injury and most of the time it needs to be a big injury to keep him out cuz he will play through it in the playoffs compared to the regular season where he will just sit out a couple games

As a Rockets fan, I've no interest in an aging, injury prone Butler. We are fine for the rest of the year.

Using 2x speed when Bobby speaks is like regular speaking for a normal human

11:29 c'mon. That deal "works" on a trade machine BUT no GM in his right mind would take that filler with no young prospect. Let's be real.

The goal of a Butler trade for Miami is to get young players or picks to rebuild and retain value for Butler's contract at the risk of losing him for nothing as improbable as it might be that he finds another team with the cap space. Thus, a Phoenix trade of Beal for Butler WOULD make sense because Miami would expect some picks in return alongside Beal and Phoenix would improve their team to compete for a chip. The selling point for Beal would be MIAMI.
Beal for Butler seems like the best trade scenario because other teams have to trade too many players simply to match Butler's salary. They wouldn't get enough value out of a Butler trade.
The only other trade that could make sense would be Kawhi for Butler. Kawhi will never be healthy so you could trade him + picks for Butler and improve the Clippers.
