We also have the gerund right? I think that, though the gerund and the present participle have the same spelling, they are different. The gerund works like a noun, I suppose. For example, in the sentence I enjoy swimming, swimming is a gerund, not a present participle. Am I right?
The gerund can frequently replace a to infinitive, although I'm not sure If I like swimming and I like to swim mean exactly the same thing. Enjoy is always used with a gerund, right? This is kinda confusing
