Seventy weeks are determined [cut off of 2, 300 prophetic days = years] upon *thy people and upon thy holy city*
...to finish the transgression, and
(Jn 19:30; Col 2:13-14; Is 53:12)
...to make an end of sins, and
(Jn 1:29; 1Jn 3:5; Jn 5:14; Jn 8:11; Rom 6:6-7; 1 Cor 15:3; Heb 9:26-28; Heb 10:14)
...to make reconciliation for iniquity, and
(Rom 5:10; 2 Cor 5:18-19; Col 1:20-22; Eph 2:14-16)
...to bring in everlasting righteousness, and
(Matt 3:15; Rom 3:21-22; Rom 8:4; 2 Cor 5:21)
...to seal up the vision and prophecy, and
(Matt 3:13-17)
...to anoint the most Holy.
(Jn 1:32-34; Mark 1:15; Acts 10:38; Luke 4:18; Is 61:1)
{Daniel 9:24} < The context

And he [the Messiah] shall confirm the covenant with many for ONE WEEK: and IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK (the seventieth) he [Christ] SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION TO CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations (the continued temple sacrifices, after Christ one perfect sacrifice.) he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. ("Behold your house has been left unto you desolate.")
{Daniel 9:27}

7 weeks + 62 weeks + *one week* = 70 weeks, to anoint the most Holy, and to seal up the vision and the prophecy.

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, *It was necessary* that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: (for there were three and a half years remaining grace for "thy people" of the final week.) but seeing ye put it from you, and *judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life* lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
{Acts 13:46-48}

To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until *the land had enjoyed her sabbaths* for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
{2 Chronicles 36:21}

For 490 years, equal to 70 sabbath rest for the land every seventh year, that Israel and Judah transgressed the law of God.

This is why they received seventy years exiled in bondage in the land of Babylon.

There was no gap in their seventy years in exil, and there is no gap in the 490 years of transgressing the law of God, and there most certainly was no gap unto the coming of the Messiah who did not come in a vacuum, but rather confirmed his covenant with many for there and a half years, and in the land of Israel's inheritance.

The stoning of Steven is when probation closed on the covenant that God made with the their fathers, exactly three and a half years after Jesus Christ, our passover was sacrificed for us, and the gospel of the kingdom of heaven went out unto the Gentiles also.

"He will confirm a *COVENANT* with *MANY* for 1 week, and in the MIDDLE of the week, he will cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease" (Dan. 9v27). In the MIDDLE year of the 70th week, on the eve of the Passover, Jesus of Nazareth said, "This is my blood of the new *COVENANT* which for *MANY* is being shed unto remission of sins" (Mat. 26v28).

After Daniel was given the prophecy the Angels said close up the book and seal it so that none of the wicked would understand. Babylon does have its own understanding but was never meant to understand this

The 70 weeks are from 457 BC to 34 AD. The last 7 years are from 27 AD to 34 AD. It's simple math. 7 (7's) + 62 (7's) + 1 (7) = 70 total weeks. There is NO missing week! It all adds up perfectly! I'm not sure why people are messing this up!

I’m no math wiz but I know the AV1611 KJV has tons of sevens times 7 times 7 etc. I know there’s every single detail in the Bible for a reason. This hit me awhile back when Peter was asking Jesus about how many times should I forgive…7? Jesus said no I tell you 70x7. Well that magical number 490 comes up regarding FORGIVENESS. I think you all are getting my drift. I’ve read that a million times and not until past 6 months did the Holy Spirit bring that connection to my mind. It’s like an eternity amount of times that His shed blood will have forever. It’s always in the present moment and it is finished. Thank you to everyone who takes time out to make known His words which are unbroken and above even His very NAME!

Those inquiring about the 2000year gap. But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no difference in
the Lord's sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same. * The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think.
Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to
be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.
10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that Day the heavens will disappear with a shrill noise, the heavenly bodies win burn up ……etc etc

What scriptural reason do you have for separating the last week from the previous 69? I don’t see it in scripture.

Excellent (and entertaining) summary of Daniel's seventy 7's!

Plz cite the very Scripture that states there will be a 2000 year gap between the 69 & 70th week of the prophecy?

This gives me a better gauge to figure it out on my own. Lots of math considering forgetting the Gregorian calendar... maybe just use the Hebrew calendar conversion.

The ‘he’ in Daniel 9:27 is Messiah the Prince who was mentioned in the two previous verses. The 70th week of Daniel 9 prophecy points to the time when Messiah the Prince appeared to carry out His multiyear ministry, and when (in the middle of the 70th week) He confirmed the covenant (that was referred to in Daniel 9:4) with His blood as the Passover Lamb, to atone for our sins. It's not about the end times or the antichrist.

7 + 62 + 1 equals 70! It does not equal 69! Do the math.

Great thanks. The prophecy of 70 weeks could have another fulfillment. Week is a cycle of 7, could be 1 day x 7 = 7 days, could be 7 days x 7 = 49 days, could be 1 year x 7 = 7 years, could be 7 years x 7 = 49 years (jubilee). The 70 weeks could be 70 jubilee’s from the entry in the Holy Land up to the return of Mashyach to save the Jews. If the entry was on 1408 BC, then 70 jubilee’s later would be 2023. If the entry was on 1402 BC, then 70 jubilee’s later would be 2029.

It has been impressed upon myself to share this message,
In 1406bc the nation of Israel was established after they 'crossed' the Jordan River,
60 x 49 'jubilee weeks' = 2940yrs,
Add this figure to 1406bc and we come to year 1534,
The year Sulieman the Great 'decreed' the re-building of Jerusalem' outerwall, moat & plaza,
Add the remaining 10 x 49 'jubilee weeks' and we come to year 2024,
Add a further 7yrs, the time it took to complete said works, and we come to year 2031,
The year i, myself, believe to be the very end of this present age/world,
October 9th 2024 will see the rapture and sudden destruction events unfold.

All glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Why do people separate the last 1 week from the 69 .., who told you there was a pause? it is the messiah who puts an end to the daily sacrifice .., when he died on the cross he was the final lamb that would atone sins for Good.., its actually blasphemous people credit all this to the antichrist

I think this one is a win for the Preterists - Daniel was obviously fulfilled with the early church, absolutely no reason whatsoever to assume a gap between weeks 69 and 70 other than necessity and forcing an interpretation. The question that remains therefore is where on Earth are we now then?

If this is to happen in the future, the last set of seven, than what sacrifice is being referred to since Christians do not sacrifice anymore?

Generally speaking, this is pretty good. However, the word for used for the weeks are "sevens." It is most often used of sevens of days (weeks). However, it can be used for 7 years, though this is not the primary use of the word. In this case, it is correct.

Also, the early birth pains likely does not refer specifically to the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 years, but rather to the time that we are in now which is leading up to the time when the covenant will be affirmed, beginning the 7 years of Tribulation. If you read the description, it is quite general and can broadly refer to events that have happened over the last 2000 years. That's why we don't think that we are entering into the seven years every time there is a new war or natural disaster.
