I bought the Nikon F2 brand new in 1975. That beast has been with me for nearly 50 years and still going strong today!

Every photography how-to / advice channel I've seen consistently gets blown out of the water by your composition. One of the best lessons I get from your videos is that composition shouldn't come from a guide, it should come from your balls.

Hello, I am 66 yrs old and grew up with 1960's ~ 1980's era Nikon cameras and lenses. I am an avid Nikon collector now. I was toying with the idea of leaving a detailed comment about the self-timer, DOF preview and a rebuttal to whomever thinks that these are "lame", but decided to scrap that. I'll make just a brief comment. Great video. I love the Nikon F2 (along with the F, F3 and various Nikkormat models from that time-period). All are top shelf in construction and operation. The non-AI, AI and AI-S manual focus lenses are superb. Looking forward to your next video. Even though there is a big age gap (my kids are around your age), I do enjoy and appreciate your sense of humor, style and love for film photography. Looking forward to your next video. Best, Steve

My F2 took a rather mysterious journey into my possession. It was given to me last year by a buddy who just happened to have it rotting away in his room after learning that I had started getting into film photography, thanks in large part to this channel. He said that back in college some guy he only loosely knew owed him money. Not having any money to speak of, the guy eventually produced a Nikon F2 from... somewhere, and offered it to my buddy as payment. Not knowing what else to do, he accepted it without asking questions, and then promptly forgot about it until my entry into this crazy hobby. After cleaning it up, it works great, and is one of my more prized weapons.

As an F2 shooter for 40 years I enjoyed and appreciated the unique spin you put on your videos. I think.

Imagine being at this event and seeing Jason with a Nikon f2 instead of his M6, wild times. great video btw

I don't take any opinions seriously from anyone who says Nikkor lenses are lame, and I'm not even a nikon shooter. They are, objectively, incredible lenses.

Fun fact about the Lincoln at 5:13, that one held the land speed record for a production Lincoln Continental of 73 mph. It achieved that while on the back of a tow truck while being repo'd.

You just cannot go wrong with any Nikon professional camera from that era. Take your pick... F, F2, F3, FM2\3 FE/FE2, its a whole herd of camera beasts.

I started shooting film in 2005. I never liked Nikon cameras until I got an F2 in my hands in 2018. The F2 is probably the best constructed 35mm I have ever shot, brilliant camera

Maybe this is a double comment because I sometimes watch and re-watch your videos while I'm working, even if I've already watched one youtube's algorithm will circle me back around to you, so if I'm a dummy and have already said this, I apologize. I got a Nikon F with the T Finder a few months back and loved it so much that I shortly after found a great deal on a Nikon F with the FTN finder. I tracked down Nikkor lenses for the pair in 28mm f3.5, 50mm f2.0, 135mm f2.8 (that one has a built-in retractable lens hood that deserves nothing less than the word 'nifty') and a 43-86mm zoom f3.5. I love the pair, and they are beast machines for making great images. I imagine the F2 is equally well built from your descriptions. I love your videos and not only are you funny as s+++ in your deadpan delivery, but your work inspires me. So just putting that out there for you to do with as you will. You and Lucy Lumen are like, two of my favorite photo people in the world. Keep it up. No, please....seriously keep it up....the worlds burning down around us and your videos, inspiration and feeding of my aspirations toward being a legit artist and pushing me in the medium are one of the things keeping me going these days. Love all of it.

That selftimer lever also can give you up to 10 sec exposure, which is very unique for a mechanical camera to time 10 second

I remember about 15 years ago a coworker razzing me because my D40 only had 6 megapixels vs. his Canon-whatevers 12. I spent today hooting with it and got some great photos, like I always did. Your Nikon F2 is glorious. Film just looks so natural, it's so worth the headaches!

I just got a Nikon F2 (the silver one) and it is very nice, I have three lenses for it (35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/2.8, 135mm f/2.8, and 70-210 f/3.75) I've been using Kodak Gold 200 and I'm so glad I got it! It's been so fun to use!

I’ve shot the Ricoh GR1v, Konica BigMini, Ricoh GR II (digital), Nikon D7000, and this camera. I only use the F2 still dude. It’s honestly the most enjoyable camera I’ve ever shot and just adore the tactile feel of it. Oh and the shutter thwack is SICK. Solid vid dude.

I firmly believe the Nikon FM2 is the most beautiful camera ever made. It's also a joy to use and the Nikkor lenses are fantastic
